Original Title: Martian ‘Spiders’ Re-Created in Lab for First Time - small, dark, spider-shaped features up to 1 km across. They supposedly form when spring sunshine falls on layers of carbon dioxide deposited over the dark winter months. A NASA team recreated these in simulated Martian conditions here on Earth.
