Is your hat an angry raccoon?

I KNEW IT!!! The sun just..hurts. now. Regardless of latitude, direct sunlight deadass insta-sizzles my skin. Worth it though, my mental health is sorted. UV blocking activewear handles the rest.

Holy shit thats why I'm so temperature sensitive?

[–] Crismus@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Yea same here. I have to sit in front of my AC and bringing in the groceries makes me overheat so much I have to use cold water and the AC to stop it.

I grew up in deserts like the Mojave and used to be able to work in 115 degrees. Now I can't surpass 75 degrees.

Bonus+ Citrus, especially grapefruit, can enhance the effects of certain medications as well.

[–] superb@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

It can go in the other direction too

Meds enhance the effects of grapefruit?

[–] superb@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

No, it can make meds less effective

[–] Zachariah@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Less effective grapefruit?

[–] prettybunnys@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 months ago

[–] nilloc@discuss.tchncs.de 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

My doctors office actually notified me that I'm on 2 medications that make me extra heat sensitive.

I appreciate it. This is a good reminder to folks to check.

Great, I take a stimulant, a beta blocker, and an antipsychotic. I’m cooked.

[–] LinksMasterSw0rd@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago
