When the superman track pops on during the first big drop-in.

Doing everything I can

[–] s_s@lemm.ee 34 points 5 months ago (2 children)

Spent hours playing this on some demo disk.

[–] Screamium@lemmy.world 10 points 5 months ago

The pizza hut demo disc, yes!!!

[–] RinseDrizzle@midwest.social 6 points 5 months ago

Those were the days man..

[–] Semi_Hemi_Demigod@lemmy.world 26 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago) (2 children)

That is clearly a gate room with the stargate removed

Edit: I see now that it's a THPS2 map but I stand by my assessment

[–] SaintWacko@midwest.social 7 points 5 months ago

It really does look like that...

[–] FoxyGrandpa@lemmy.world 5 points 5 months ago

It is Warehouse from the first tony hawk game. It returned to THPS2 but with an added section with a helicopter

[–] MadBob@feddit.nl 24 points 5 months ago (2 children)

Seemed a lot bigger when I was 8.

[–] Takios@discuss.tchncs.de 8 points 5 months ago

I think there are two areas missing in this picture so that's probably a contributing factor.

[–] zakobjoa@lemmy.world 21 points 5 months ago (1 children)

To everyone dying of nostalgia: the combined THPS 1+2 remake is actually good and fun.

[–] Honytawk@lemmy.zip 7 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

Can confirm.

Has great graphics as well as an amazing park builder. The skating itself has stayed exactly the same.

This picture instantly played Goldfinger‘s „Superman“ in my head…

[–] radicalautonomy@lemmy.world 5 points 5 months ago (2 children)

Goldfinger did a recording of Superman, Here in Your Bedroom, and a couple other songs during the pandemic.

[–] Mirshe@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

Their home version of Spokesman is great.

[–] ultraviolence@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

I’ve just seen the superman video being linked in another thread. Amazing recordings!

So here i am,

doing everything i know,

Building pyramids for show,

Pretendin' im a great pharaoh .

[–] tisktisk@monero.town 18 points 5 months ago (1 children)

That's og Tony hawk pro skater map 1 without a grind rail in the middle!?!?

[–] SturgiesYrFase@lemmy.ml 19 points 5 months ago

Rail is totally still there, it's just hard to see as it's only a few pixels across. Look to the right of the middle pile of cardboard boxes.

[–] shadearg@lemmy.world 17 points 5 months ago

Trying to break that million point grind.

Damn, that was 25 years ago.

[–] coffeebiscuit@lemmy.world 13 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

Spoiler alert… good times.

[–] set_secret@lemmy.world 11 points 5 months ago

Well the electric lighting is a nice addition

[–] NakariLexfortaine@lemm.ee 7 points 5 months ago

"And if you don't believe in Jesus, and Osiris or Isis, too, and while the world is warrin', we'll just sit back and laugh at you."

[–] 8000gnat@reddthat.com 7 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

over on birdsite @weedhitler had a classic post about all the tony hawk tapes being evidence of CIA torture and to please collect them for evidence, but of course all those tweets are lost now, like tears in the rain

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 6 points 5 months ago

That’s clearly an anal probe surface with a lamp over it. Reminds me of my first time.

[–] scorpious@lemmy.world 5 points 5 months ago

[–] pkmkdz@sh.itjust.works 4 points 5 months ago

I didn't even grow up with thps1 or 2 and I'm still nostalgic, because they reused this map in thug2 as tutorial area, which was genius

[–] MiDaBa@lemmy.ml 4 points 5 months ago (3 children)

I'm fairly certain this is an old Quake map.

[–] radicalautonomy@lemmy.world 14 points 5 months ago

Not sure if you are goofin', but that is a Tony Hawk level.

[–] soggy_kitty@sopuli.xyz 7 points 5 months ago

No, I just read the caption and it's clearly from unreal tournament

[–] lauha@lemmy.one 3 points 5 months ago

Definitely Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2

[–] Mr_Dr_Oink@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Isnt it jsut 1 half of the first level? I seem to recall there being a large plane in the middle.

[–] fontane@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago (1 children)
[–] shadearg@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

And it was a proper Warehouse successor, too.

My two favorite maps.

[–] mexicancartel@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 5 months ago

There is a slide for children. Its obviously a park
