I'd watch that show so hard.

[–] ares35@kbin.social 17 points 1 year ago

no need. they're still making tons off of v1's dlc and microtransactions.

While we're at it: Why is there no planet B? Don't just tell me there isn't! If the earth was so great, the market would provide for more than 1 planet

People are working on it

Because Society 1 just came out not long ago, and they're gonna milk that life as a service model for all it's worth.

Because society 2 has unblockable targeted advertising, even for paid tier.

It's so good, we don't need a society 2

[–] Skymt@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

Nah I'm ready for a sequel.

[–] Crashumbc@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I don't want to see society 2. There will be a nasty reboot. It will be painful, might not even come back up.

I'm sure citizens of multiple powers throughout history said the same thing, yet here we are.

[–] Crashumbc@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

True but they didn't have nukes...

That's a weird AI generated monkey picture.

[–] doingthestuff@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

We're already at society 84,659. It's not very different than society 84,614 though.

Considering AI development, please stay tuned. So, I doubt that we will see “planet of apes” as “society 2”. Sorry, monkey. However, there is still “society 3” possible, depending on our AI overlords. So, as I said, stay tuned.

I am not optimistic at simians surviving a war of humanity against machines. Frankly, I don’t think they will survive just the presence of humans.

This only makes sense if we're talking about movies. If we're talking about software (as the Lemmy title suggests) the question in itself doesn't make sense because only something that needs improvement needs an update

[–] seitanic@lemmy.sdf.org 1 points 1 year ago

Try telling that to...every software company ever.

[–] can@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 year ago

Arguably it already exists as the internet

[–] ColeSloth@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 1 year ago

Gotta wait for "Albacoykie boiled toykie" first

[–] crawley@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

If society is so great, as you claim, why would there be a 2.0?

[–] Osku@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

It's paradox game

[–] PixeIOrange@feddit.de 0 points 1 year ago

Rockstar games already announced a trailer in december.
