Looks like the last commit that's not a translation was 3 months ago, latest release was half a year ago.

if so, they chose the wrong name

Heh, didn't even occur to me. But yeah, pretty ironic.

I really hope it gets forked or development continues at some point. I don't want to switch to another app. Eternity is the best lemmy app.

Well, it works for me, some cool new features would be nice but it's still a very fine app.

It's dead but it works

Idk but it seems to work pretty well for me

Edit: checked the repo and last activity was 2 months ago in issues. Maybe its still ongoing

I remember there was no update for Sync for Reddit for like 1.5 years at one point so I wouldn't worry.

Nightlies are actually automated. They get built even if no changes have been made. Aside from that, besides translations, the Codeberg has not been updated in months.

Auto build script, no new code added so its the same as production release.

Yep. I’ve always thought it was dead. The main developer back before December replied to my same question saying that he might work on it in winter if he finds the time.

I’ve moved on to voyager. Thunder is also a good replacement.

Voyager looks really good, thanks for sharing about it!

[–] ByteMe@lemmy.world 5 points 4 months ago

Nope, developer said new version is coming.:)

looks pretty dead to me

Honestly it's got everything I need so I'm not waiting for any updates.
