What's the game here? The US could give the Ukrainians all of their weapons and they could still never hope to match the Russians. How does any party involved expect people to actually believe they believe this will lead to peace? It's just obvious warmongering for profit.

You don't need to force the Russians to negotiate, they're not the ones that scuttle every round of negotiations. Maybe get a time machine and tell Zelensky not to trust Boris Yeltsin. Or go back further and replace all the European leadership with people who don't openly treat the Minsk accords as a delaying tactic.
