The people at the top don't care. They only care about a future where there are no employees and the only customers are the same as them. The want the lower and middle classes gone.

The biggest bluff has been around climate change, they've convinced you that they don't believe in it but they do. They have a plan for shrinking the worlds population and AI and robots are part of that plan.

They still want video games and other forms of entertainment but they don't want to worry about all those stinky freeloaders getting paid to do jobs.

They are, in other words, idiots. They also believe they can live forever (as evidenced by Putin being caught on a hot mic talking about it). They are completely delusional. Their riches will be wiped out by the economic collapse and their AI robots will glitch out and kill them. Even if they survive, do you think someone like Musk will become a warlord in the Wasteland? Please, at most he will be a court jester, but more probably a low quality bloodbag.

Immortan Joe was covered in sores that needed baby powder and a plastic breastplate to cover them when he went out to "make war", which consisted of being driven around by his underlings. Elon is perfectly capable of filling in for that role.

Before that he was Colonel Joe Moore though, a highly celebrated soldier in the Australian army.

Radiation poisoning just got to him later in his life.
