We can not underestimate the value that musicians have brought to the pro-palestine cause. While orgs and protests have been highly important I would argue that is the musicians and artists who culturally normalised support for palestine and made it clear to their audiences that it is okay to loudly and proudly chant that support and not to pressured into any sort of weasel words about it or, worse still, pressured into stopping vocal support entirely outside of protest events.
Protests are the organisational voice of demands and what needs to be done. Artists are the tunnel between the streets outside houses of power and the mainstream.
