She didn't serve in the IDF, probably because she wasn't in isntrael at the age of majority. She's a liberal Zionist, meaning she supports all the things that lead to genocide but feels bad about the outcome.

Yeah, her 2018 award denial was because she doesn't like Netanyahu. Implying she is absolutely on board with the zionist project, just not with the current optics.
