it's really not clear to me what this means. are they poisoning the flour with oxycodone or are they just smuggling it with the aid so that they can sell it to people that need painkillers/addicts? surely it's gotta be the latter. if i remember correctly synthetic opioids degrade with high temperatures and surely there's "better" and cheaper stuff to ruin flour with.

~~They could be targetting aid workers/bakers/etc. more so than the people eating the bread, though I think the story is fake and just as likely to be some reactionary trying to discredit reporting on Israeli war crimes by spreading false rumors.~~ [edit: see reply]

My friend in Gaza told me abt the drugs found in flour (not that it’s mixed with flour, but inside bags hidden in the flour) which makes me feel like it’s real. It’s possible he got misinformed as well but it seems unlikely?

Is it possible that aid workers are doing this not to poison Gazans but to sneak in critical medications? There are a ton of people in Gaza with horrific injuries which will leave them in immense pain. Oxycontin is relatively safe for most people to use for pain suppression and is very effective. Obviously if it is mixed in with the flour that is not the case. But if there are pills in bags in the flour then this seems plausible.

It doesn’t really make sense to me since Israel controls everything that goes in and out of Gaza and I’m sure they check the flour bags as well to make sure nothing else is in there.
