Hey @Blaze@feddit.nl, can you update the text or just post the link? The list changed a lot in between.

But to be honest, I think at some point we should just add this data to https://buy-european.net/en, managed by @buyeuropean@feddit.org

These posts are not wiki, they can only be edited by ourselves, so having a database where everyone can contribute seems better

I like this concise list with topics that are dear to my heart or exciting. Feel free to point your mate at the posts and take what he needs.

It's fine for now, but you and me might not be around here at some in the future, and then people would have to create new posts.

Also, having them in a website with a categories page might be easier to use than having to find this kind of posts

[โ€“] SrMono@feddit.org 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yea, the website owner can do that :-)

Seems a bit rough to expect one person to manually add everything that gets posted here, with new posts every day ๐Ÿ˜…

[โ€“] SrMono@feddit.org 1 points 1 week ago (2 children)

On the opposite.

Instead of me adding all the URLs through a web interface, he can edit a file and bulk import them. Just wait until enough or a bit more is collected and do some magic.

Even better: monitoring all posts and collecting feedback will me take days of commitment. Putting the post in a computer-readable format for a bulk ipmort will take minutes of editor foo.

[โ€“] Blaze@feddit.nl 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Hm, that could also be an option.

@buyeuropean@feddit.org, could that be possible? Would the posts need to have a specific format so that you can import the data easily?

We double-check all submitted entries, so for us it would still be a lot of work as we don't want to spam the database with lots of companies without a proven online trackrecord for example. Therefore yes, we can work with streamlined data that contains all the fields we ask for in the submission form but the work on our end would be very similar to ensure a certain amount of quality among the entries in the database.

That's what I thought.

@SrMono@feddit.org FYI
