Hm, from the website, the HQ was supposed to be in the NL:

This address must be their European HQ. Given their telephone number starts with +1 and all other sources say San Francisco is their base, it's fair to say not European.

To their credit though, it's a US company that is actually doing great stuff with laptop repairability. Hope Fairphone, tuxedo or others uses their designs to make their own modular laptops that are intercompatible
