I'm so happy for the good example of China. It helps contrast. Sometimes I read stuff like this and I'm just thinking like, "China is creating the amazing sci-fi future from fiction. Meanwhile, the US is like... 'we're making another popular app shittier so it can go public.'"
US be like, "we're making sci-fi stuff too!" but they mean just like the dystopian parts of sci-fi, none of the cool stuff.
