I have a multiboot setup and use rEFInd to boot. The EFI option named after Neon actually fails to boot it. I have to go to the specific kernel named option to boot it.

I thought re-installing the bootloader might fix it.

Hi Community, I’ve been an XFCE user for over a decade, relying on Thunderbird for my email needs. A few weeks ago, we decided to migrate all workstations at work from Windows to Arch Linux. For our needs, we chose KDE as the desktop environment that best aligns with our business workflow. Everything seems to be running smoothly so far, and to keep the KDE ecosystem as clean as possible, we also decided to switch from Thunderbird to KMail.

However, we’ve encountered an issue: IMAP syncing in KMail is significantly slower compared to Thunderbird. Our mail is hosted by Migadu. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on how to address this?Many thanks!

I spent a few minutes setting up a Plasma desktop to resemble what I like about GNOME Shell. A screenshot doesn't do it justice imho. Application Dashboard on Meta, Overview on Meta-W, a Panel and Icons-Only Task Manager set to Autohide at the bottom of each screen, and the Tiling Manager.

The final sprint is on! Just 6 more days to contribute to the KDE goals proposals!

Hey everyone! I just updated my personal global theme set to Plasma 6, you can get it from "System Settings > Global Themes > Get New...". You can also find more application specific themes (Konsole, Kate, Firefox, VSCode, Kitty) in the Github repo for a consistent desktop experience. Crystal Dock v2.2 is out now!

What it is: Crystal Dock is a cool dock (desktop panel) for Linux desktop, with the focus on attractive user interface, being simple and easy to use, and cross-desktop support.

The current version (version 2.x) supports KDE Plasma 6 on Wayland. Other desktop environments will be considered when they run on Wayland and provide sufficient APIs.

Change log:

New features:

• New 3D style: reminiscence of Sun's Project Looking Glass and Apple's Mac OS X Leopard/Lion. This feature comes as default but can be turned on/off from the dock's context menu. Also this only applies to a dock in bottom position of the screen, for aesthetic reasons.

Bugs fixed:

• Fixed a bug where task indicator does not change from 'active' to 'inactive' if the new active window is the dock itself.

So... I just set my keyboard in KDE settings to Dell Latitude(i have a dell latitude) and now i can press the volume keys and they work, and pressing fn lets me press F* keys. But, my menu doesn't open. I've set it to alt+f1, alt+volume mute, and meta+a, but no luck. I am on plasma 5.24.7, using trisquel gnu/linux(triskel variant). I am using X11.

I have no idea why Mozilla doesnt show this theme.

I use Breeze Dark, as I am a simple guy :)

But the "Breeze Dark" Theme on AMO (firefox insider name for addons.mozilla.org :D) is just wrong?

So I created my own one, with the Addon "Firefox Color" and the Plasma Color-Picker.

I am just a regular Linux user with a bit of additional interest in customizing. I can install things from the store, change settings in the GUI comfortably etc.

Occassionally there are things I am looking for are not available already but could be with few simple tweaks. For eg. right now I am looking for an analog clock widget different from the standard one already available. I need to reduce its size and/or change its background.

I believe this could be done by changing the clock source and building a new clock.

Currently I am not knowledgeable enough to do that and also with insufficient free time to learn everything. I would try if there is a standard pre-built ISO configured to this need with all tools pre-installed.
