hello,

is it really that bad if I used google chrome as my main browser? like would they save my personal stuff and then sell it to third party companies or how does this really work? i use youtube a lot, use an android as my main phone but block some apps to connect to the internet via netguard and what not.

i don't do dark web or none of that shady stuff. I don't have any personal photos on my phone, nor I plan to. My family/friends ask me why, but I tell them it's up to me to decide what to have or not.

Like, is it really that bad if I use Chrome as my daily browser? I'm a nobody, I just browse the web and I play a lot of online games.

Just downloaded Floorp browser. I was a bit skeptical about it before as it is not that well known and wasn’t sure about installing it on my PC. But Oh MY GOD what a browser! I've always wanted to support a non-Chromium browser but never found one that satisfied my needs, until now. This is the browser I could wish for and then some. It has the customizability of Vivaldi and the speed of edge and the privacy of firefox, and is not Chromium. This is what Firefox should have been.

edit: thanks everyone, I think it was indeed a bug after the new update... I just had to turn off the touch mode and it's back to normal now.

I have used many browsers like Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Brave etc. I want to know if Vivaldi is good enough for normal browsing, speed and it’s privacy. I have heard lots of good comments of Vivaldi but I have also heard it have many cons of it. Pls help me to define Vivaldi.

Hello everyone,

I've installed "dark reader" extension on firefox on windows 10 and its worked ok. But after a while, the problem began. When the extension is off, all the websites get to light mode event those which are dark by default (like youtube). I tried disabling and removing the extension. But the problem still persists.

Just pondering the two browsers and their main ways of tab organising. I do like Firefox addon tree style tab but Vivaldi's way of organising by workspace and then by tab stack offers a more cleaner layout.

Might switch over to Firefox as tree style tabs is great...

Things I have already done *which failed to fix it*.

Started in troubleshoot mode. Refreshed Firefox. Downloaded the newest offline installer and installed it. Tried renaming the profiles folders to see if would create new ones. Nope, it won't, not even when installing using the offline installer. Incognito mode.

Firefox steadfastly continues to insist it cannot find ups.com while other browsers can. A couple of months ago is was unable to find microsoft.com but works with that site now. I don't recall if I found a fix or if Firefox just suddenly decided one day to ack the existence of that domain.

Microsoft developer Cassio Zen (@cassiozen) claims "Apple should release Safari for Windows, Safari now has the fastest JS engine and is implementing features quickly, meanwhile Chrome deceives its users and Firefox lags further behind..."

So like the title says, I’m making the switch from Chrome to Brave. Is there anything I need to do before uninstalling chrome like deleting passwords, clearing cookies, etc? I’m just unsure if there is like a standard exit procedure to do before uninstalling to ensure none of my data from Chrome will come back to bite me once I leave Chrome behind. I’m pretty new to this if you couldn’t tell so any and all advice would be greatly appreciated!
